Welsh Wine Tours / About
About us
Welsh Wine Tours is the Welsh sister of English Wine Tours and Kent Wine Tours. It covers the vineyards in Wales that open their gates to visitors: when they open, what a visit involves, and how to get there.
Why a site of its own
Welsh wine is not English wine. It has its own protected names, its own trade body and a different mix of grapes, and the vineyards are smaller and further apart than most in the south of England. It deserved more than a page on an English site, so it has this one.
How we check things
- Vineyard details come from the vineyard. Opening days, prices and what is on offer are taken from each vineyard’s own website, and each guide carries the date it was last checked.
- Events are rechecked every week, and anything that has finished drops off.
- We say when we are unsure. Some smaller vineyards open by appointment or on a handful of days a year, and when the details are vague we tell you rather than guess.
How we are paid
Some links earn us a small commission, for example when you book somewhere to stay or buy a bottle through them. You pay the same price as you would going direct. Nobody pays to be listed, and most of the vineyards here earn us nothing at all.
Tell us when we are wrong
If a detail here is out of date, or your vineyard is missing, email info@englishwinetours.com and we will put it right.
